The aim of the Bug Control IPC lead coaching program is to encourage and support IPC leads in residential aged care facilities to better fulfill their role as they apply theory to practice. This program has been developed to make it easier for you to perform the IPC lead role.
The IPC lead coaching program subscription includes the following:
- An IPC lead checklist: This is a comprehensive self-assessment audit tool that will provide information and identify any gaps that may be within the home’s infection prevention and control program.
- A two-year educational calendar: This calendar has specific IPC-related topics and is linked to resources ready for you to access and use for your staff, residents and/or their relatives.
- Resources: These include 5-minute toolbox talks, blogs, PowerPoint presentations, audit tools, posters, access to relevant eManual sections and other IPC resources that we develop.
- A monthly discussion group: This discussion group will run for 30 minutes and be conducted on the one day each month at 10am and again at 3pm to allow flexibility as we understand how busy you can get. This group will be facilitated by a Bug Control consultant/s and is a great opportunity to network with other IPC leads, raise IPC questions/issues/concerns, and have any questions answered.
